I have just returned from another inspiring trip to Egypt visiting The SEKEM Foundation. This initiative was established in 1977 by Dr. Ibrahim Abouleish and he received the RIGHT LIVELIHOOD AWARD also known as the "ALTERNATIVE NOBEL PRIZE" for "establishing a business model for the 21st century in which commercial success is integrated with and promotes the social and cultural development of society through economics of love." It is a truly astonishing initiative in its achievements and ongoing developments, and we are very proud to be continuing our relationship with Naturtex, the textile arm of Sekem, and working with such a wonderful team.

During this trip we developed on some great new styles in lightweight jerseys for spring 2011, and even more exciting is the development of a small baby range, which will be launched this autumn. Liv Baby will include baby essentials in soft cotton interlock, and some accessories such as a cosy brushed terry swaddling blanket and a hooded towel.

More news from Delhi is the knitwear samples have arrived and are so gorgeous. Beautiful soft organic cotton tops, dresses, leggings and scarves, with lovely pointelle detail and flattering styling. The photo shoot will happen in the next 2 weeks and we are currently looking for a suitable location....

I will keep you updated...
